I didn't realize that the design included holes in the pattern. I thought it was different layers of plastic. That would be the only thing I would change about it so that if something did spill, it wouldn't leak through the holes in the pattern. However, it is very nice looking and has received several compliments. Great find for the price.My coffee table is stained and I've not been able to sand/varnish/polish it. I put this on and it works beautifully. It doesn't look old-fashioned at all - actually looks classy and elegant. It wipes down easy and seems durable. It looks really nice.It looks good but not easy to wash it.I really like this tablecloth. I am using it in my living room coffee table. It's great quality material, and I've already spilled something and works great, doesn't stain. It has holes for the design in the tablecloth so best to place additional waterproof clear tablecloth underneath if you place on table where people eat frequently.Love it
