I bought this table skirt for a rainbow themed teen's birthday party because it seemed like a more sophisticated option than some of the rainbow printed tablecloths that I saw. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the fabric and construction. This is not a throw-away party decoration. You can use this again and again, and it would be appropriate at a higher-end gathering like a wedding or anniversary party. It's washable, although I would be very careful and not put it in the dryer just to be safe. After one use, there was no need. It comes with a lot of velcro sticky tabs, and unless you have way rougher guests than I did with a house of teenagers, you will not need more than a fraction of the number they recommend so I can't imagine you'll run out. If you have a delicate finish on your table, though, I would use caution. The adhesive on the velcro strips is really strong and I went very slowly removing it for fear it would remove some of the finish (it didn't).On a standard dining table that seats 6-8, this dropped perfectly to the floor without pooling or showing a gap. It wrapped around three sides and a bit onto the fourth, which I had against the wall so you couldn't see it. Very elegant, but fun at the same time. This was probably my daughter's favorite decoration of all the rainbow items I found.
